It’s a balmy 3* out today, recently we’ve received 5ish inches of fluffy snow ⛄️, not a lot but we’ll take what we can get. VP Tracey was out last night in the valley and it was dreamy and fluffy just as it should be. ⚠️ One note of caution, near Big Marsh Rd on the north end there is occasional flowing water across the trail⚠️
Paul is filling in on the south trails today, every snow helps a little more. Rough dirt makes rough snow but the guys are making ground on getting them flatter for the weekend! Still be cautious out there of occasional hazards as we still are really low on snow. The guys are working hard to make the most of it.
On tap this weekend our clubs have your breakfast covered, visit the Antrim County Snowmobile Club Saturday for their pancake breakfast 8-10 and their clubhouse will be open until 4pm. Then Sunday stop up and see the East Jordan Sno-Mobilers and get their world famous “cakes and eggs” with the fix’ins 7-12
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A narrow corridor of accumulating snow will move into portions of northern lower Michigan tonight, carrying into the day on Monday. Wet, sloppy snow will lead to slushy / snow covered road conditions. Localized totals in excess of 6" are possible, generally between the M-72 and M-68 corridors. Be sure to give yourself some extra time for the Monday commute! On the heels of this disturbance, some lingering lake effect snow showers are possible in the eastern U.P. before our next system passes through late Wednesday into Wednesday night. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> There is a beautiful light snow fall coming down. Only about an inch of new snow overnight but several sleds out and about already this morning. Yesterday was the best day of this sled season and at least putting me on the board for sales this season as last year I never took in a dime the whole month of February. Lots of riders and decent trails yesterday and am expecting a decent day today on sunday. Snow was very hard a rutty yesterday morning and several riders reporting runninig hot yesterday because no lube getting on the slides. It eased up during the day as the snow softened up. Enjoy what we have out there and please ride safely. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

Thats my cousin and and I in the first photo. We ran 140 miles yesterday. First we rode Gaylord to Lovells and back. Trails were a little thin near Lovells. We also ran the loop to Starvation Lake in the evening and the trails were great. We ran another 140 miles today from Gaylord to the bridge to Cheboygan. Trails were getting a little sloppy towards the end but it was an awesome ride!
