TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via GRAND TRAVERSE AREA SNOWMOBILE CLUB – 2/8
Trail Report: 02-08-2022
I wish I had better news for everyone but I don’t. The trails need a good dumping of snow, just like the ones that have gone south and north of us. There is snow in the woods but the trails themselves have more dirt than snow on them. Our groomers are sitting idle until we receive some measurable snow. Sadly, I wouldn’t ride my sled on them and would not recommend it to anyone else at this time. Today, it was sunny and 37. Tomorrow the forecast shows 36 and some wet flurries. I will continue to keep you informed of our current conditions, hopefully they will change for the better soon. Lets do some snow dances and hope for the best. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Sober, Ride Safe.
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via RANCH RUDOLF – 2/8
This has been a tough season for winter enthusiasts. Snowmobile trails are in poor shape. We are mostly down to dirt and ice at this point. Hoping for a drastic turnaround. Will keep you posted as conditions improve, because they just have to…it’s been a long time coming….
FROM Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> The first meeting of the season is in the books. Thanks to Peegeo's for supplying pizza for the meeting! Peegeos is a long time supporter of GTASC. Let's return the favor and support them whenever possible.
It was announced at the meeting that GTASC will be receiving a new Dubie drag for this season. (Our current drags are 20+ years old). This will be a welcomed addition to the fleet and cut down on our current maintenance time and cost. There is still plenty of work that needs to be performed on the trails. We will be brushing this Sunday. If you can, come on out and give us a hand. We would appreciate it! #traversecity... See MoreSee Less
