Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Yesterday it was 39 degrees and drizzle/snow mix. Woke up this morning to a unexpected fresh 5-6 inches of snow. We are currently getting lake effect snow in our area. Groomers are expected to return to the trails this evening so please watch out for them if your out. Keep doing those snow dances, we need to build that base up.
