Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. We received about 3-4 inches of snow last night. The wife and I took a ride to see how the trails were. The base is icy from the sleet last week and the new snow was a welcomed sight. I don’t know how long this new snow will hold up but if you need to get a ride in don’t hesitate. Grooming operations have not started back up yet, we are going to hold off for the time being and see what the weather brings. The trails I rode today were hard and flat.
