I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. FROM U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) >> Turning our attention to the end of the month🥶 FROM The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club >> Just wind and rain here in Mass City! 🙁 Let it SNOW! FROM Gogebic Area Grooming >> Just to confirm.. We do have enough interest in brushing the access trail this Saturday at 9am Eastern time meeting at the Groomer barn. It's not a long stretch but badly overgrown. Bring boot's as it's usually muddy. If enough people show up and this get's accomplished early our trail 1n to White Pine needs a bunch of signage. So plenty of work for the day. Then on to our next situation. A bridge on 13s or East side of lake Gogebic needs redecked. This trail will not be opened until this bridge is repaired. To say we need help is an understatement. Plans are for bridge repair asap. Repair needs completed before Deer season (Nov. 15th) Rain, snow or shine. It should only take a day but dependent on if we have helper's. The access trail, 1n signage and bridge repair are all accessible by vehicle. Snow totals ranged from little to nothing along the Superior shoreline due to the warm lake temperatures, to 2 feet plus in the higher terrain of Marquette and Baraga Counties. Additional accumulations are expected around 1 to 4 inches, mainly in the high terrain of north central Upper Michigan. Blizzard warnings are in effect for Baraga and Marquette Counties. Heavy wet snow will arrive later tonight into Thursday morning as a low pressure system lifts into the Great Lakes. Strong northerly winds are expected and blowing snow is likely. Widespread 8-12 inches are forecast; higher amounts in excess of 2 feet are forecast across the higher terrain of Marquette and Baraga Counties into Thursday morning. Note: A sharp gradient in snow totals is expected just inland from the Great Lake-especially along the Lake Superior shoreline in Baraga and Marquette Counties. Wet snow combined with strong northerly winds may cause sporadic power outages. Trail 1 to lake of the clouds is thin from white pine through silver city, there’s are 2 bridges that you can not cross so you have to go around on the road but once you get away from the lake there’s a good foot of snow there is roughly 3" of snow in silver city
Trail 11 south boundary rd is groomed and in excellent shape with 1 to 2 ft of snow we are grooming it daily.

Trail 12 from white pine to Ontonagon has been packed but has lots of wet spots that you can go around. Trail 12 from Ontonagon to Greenland has not been packed yet and is very wet..
Trail 101 has been groomed with 2 ft of snow and in excellent shape to bad its only 4 miles…
Trail 13 from the intersection of 101 to Rockland has lots of snow ( 2 to 3ft) and has been groomed, but still lots of trees and brush close to the trail that we will keep working on daily
Trail 137 rail bed from Ontonagon to Rockland is groomed and in good shape just thin on snow by Ontonagon
It’s early season riding I do not recommend bringing up your family to ride; there are lots of wet spots, thin spots and still lots of bumps and debris that needs to get covered with more snow.. Ride with caution. Thanks from groomer MikeyPostings From Regional Pages On Facebook
