HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 01/11
We haven’t posted an update in awhile but that is because we haven’t received any snow since before the new year. There is a little snow still in the woods but any open areas are grass. Looking at the forecast we are in for some rain next week Monday & Tuesday but then snow Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday. Really hoping the temperatures drop and turn that rain into snow. With that being said the 58th Annual Moose Jaw Safari is next Saturday, January 21st. If there is no snow to ride we will all meet at the bean pot in Larks Lake, we will keep you updated as we get closer. Start doing that snow dance ❄️
FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea#petoskey#gaylord#cadillac#traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW. After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞
