KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 01/15
Holy Wah! Where did all the people come from?! It’s been a busy MLK weekend, as it is each year! The blue sky and sun can make for a beautiful day of riding but also take a toll on trails too. We still have not received any additional, desperately needed snowfall! Nick Piazza and White Out Technologies crew have been up riding the last couple of days and have said “……trails were ok and off trail (legal) was fun…..good friends are what make it amazing!!” Love to see and hear from the groups up here riding through this spell of less than optimal conditions from Mother Nature and heavy traffic, that they are out making the best of it!! Creating memories with family and friends is what it’s all about! Keweenaw Snowmobile Club has been out nightly doing a great job with what they have to work with! Please download the Groomer Tracker app and subscribe to the KSC trail system! For a $10 fee you will have up to the moment trail grooming information AND help support the grooming operations, as $5 of the fee comes directly back to the club!

FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea#petoskey#gaylord#cadillac#traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW.
