Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 02/01
LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 02/01 Good morning!! It’s cold out but still beautiful weather for grooming the trails!! Crews were out last night into this morning in the Marenisco area and groomed Trail 1 from Copps Tower Road to Presque Isle and also Trail 100 and 13 to the intersection with Trail 2. Will be out again tonight! <> Pics sent in tonight from groomer steve. He covered 8w to wakefield and 13n.. trails are holding tight with slight studder bumps in corners, hills and stop and start sections. I covered 102 and 1north and I experienced same conditions. Trails continue to get better every evening but I wouldn’t complain about another 12" dumper at all. Working the same snow over and over it loses it’s consistency and compaction. Overall our trails are in good condition. Bring on the weekend warriors!! We welcome everyone and love seeing the resorts full.
