Michigan Snowmobile Trail Reports
March 16, 2026 – 3:45 pm update: – MONDAY AFTERNOON – The BLIZZARD OF 2026 is in the process of winding down and should gone by Tuesday. Snow accumulations in the Central and Eastern U.P. are coming in at 3 to 4 feet and maybe more with snow drifts at 10 feet high and more. Travel is very limited in the Central and Eastern U.P. The snow and winds should wind down tonight and the groomers may be able to start getting out on the trails on Tuesday. Call ahead to find out the latest on road and trail conditions. The snow totals were less in the Western U.P and the Keweenaw Peninsula. We are getting reports of riders out on the trails. Groomers may be able to get out tonight in the Western U.P. and Keweenaw Peninsula.
Snow totals were also very strong in the the Petoskey and Harbor Springs area of Northern Lower Michigan. Roads will be tough to travel on the rest of the day Monday and early Tuesday. There is less snow south of Petoskey, however, in the Gaylord and other area south ice mixed with the snow and caused a lot of damage with fallen trees. Traiis in these areas may be challenging due to all the damage caused by the ice storm. Winter is definitely back and trails should be shaping up nicely for some great riding as the week progresses.
