February 26, 2026 – 11:45 am update: – THURSDAY AROUND NOON – Winter is holding on nicely in Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Plenty of snow this week and the trails in the snow belts of the U.P. all have very strong bases. Groomers have been out all week packing down the snow. A brief warm up is coming on Friday with highs in the 40s, however, snow and colder temperatures return for the weekend. It should be another great weekend for snowmobiling in the U.P.

Northern Lower Michigan also received snow during the week and the trails are holding up nicely in the snow belts. The base is not as strong as the U.P. however it should be able to survive the warm up on Friday and trails should be in decent shape for the weekend.
