Michigan Snowmobile Trail Reports

March 24, 2026 – 4:30 pm update: – TUESDAY AFTERNOON – We’ve reached the last week of the official Michigan snowmobile season and there is still great riding in most of the snow belts of the U.P. Slight warm up for Tuesday and Wednesday and then colder weather going into the weekend. Looks like the Eastern U.P. will be the area with the best trail conditions for this weekend. The snow base is still strong and groomers should be able to get out on the trails later in the week. The Western U.P. and the Keweenau Peninsula also has a strong base and groomers should be able to get out on the trails later in the week.

The base on the trails of Northern Lower Michigan is not as strong as the U.P. however you should be able to find snow to ride later in the week and into the weekend. You’ll find the most snow north of Gaylord and up through Petoskey and Harbor Springs.
