Michigan Snowmobile Trail Reports

March 10, 2026 – 3:45 pm update: – TUESDAY AFTERNOON – The BIG WARM UP is coming to an end today and winter weather returns on Wednesday. The base has held up in snow belts of the U.P. Moderate to heavy snow is in the forecast, so the trails should return to good shape and the groomers will likely be out on the trails as soon as Wednesday. Temperatures are forecast to stay below freezing for the next week, so look for some pretty good riding later this week and into the weekend.

The BIG WARM UP did a number on the trails in Northern Lower Michigan. Right now a lot of mud and a lot of water. The snow and cold weather might get trail conditions up to fair to good in some areas. The base is strongest north of Gaylord up through the Tip of the Mitt, so that is likely where you’ll be able to find the best riding in Northern Lower Michigan later this week and this weekend.
