FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/12 Is this the calm before the mother of all storms. We are supposed to start getting hit later today friday afternoon. Its a pretty quiet morning here in downtown Frederic. I did see 4 sleds crossing the trail in Grayling about 8 a.m. and they were heading towards frederic. Talked to a guy in town last nite at Rays on the River and he said the best riding they had yesterday were the trails around Grayling. No new snow overnight. The motels in Grayling were still pretty empty with only 7 trailers betweent the 2 big hotels. That kind of surprised me. Lets see what the day really brings.There are alot of peoplel that have messaged me that say they are coming north today and with it being along weekend it might be a great weekend of riding. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> HAPPY NEW YEAR - It's been a great day to ride in Frederic, Sled traffic has been steady all day. Riders stopping in for goodies and to say hi. I would say this has been the busiest day of the season with the amount of sleds that have been around. Dinner last nite at the Frederic Inn was great and you can see the five of us showing off our meat. I was in deep in sleep way before midnite.
