The crossing at the Portage Lake Lift bridge is being prepped. Please do not plan to cross before 6 PM tonight, this process takes many hours and dump truck loads of snow thanks to the cityofhoughton! The Copper Country Tour is February 22nd, beginning at the new Maintenance Facility in Caulmet, heading north to Eagle Harbor to make a stop at Fletchy’s Otter Belly Lodge to check out their vintage show / ride, then on to Copper Harbor for a bonfire, prizes and food. A great way to meet other supporters of the club and learn what it takes to maintain and groom the trails you all love to ride. This will bring a brief period of heavy snow and low visibilities with blowing and drifting snow leading to a period of hazardous driving conditions. A reminder as well, Ride Right, Ride Sober and please stay off the “M” route highways - we’ve received many messages regarding sleds on 41 and 26 around South Range, Quincy Hill and Phoenix.
