WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Through this evening: A line of heavy snow showers marches south across the UP along a cold front. Hazards: A quick hitting 1-2” of snow is expected along this front. Gusty winds will create very low visibility in the heaviest showers. Roads will quickly become snow covered, and falling temperatures behind the front will also create slippery road conditions where melting snow occurred today. #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaThrough this evening: A line of heavy snow showers marches south across the UP along a cold front.

This year’s club events! The Copper Country Tour is February 22nd, beginning at the new Maintenance Facility in Caulmet, heading north to Eagle Harbor to make a stop at Fletchy’s Otter Belly Lodge to check out their vintage show / ride, then on to Copper Harbor for a bonfire, prizes and food. A great way to meet other supporters of the club and learn what it takes to maintain and groom the trails you all love to ride.
A reminder as well, Ride Right, Ride Sober and please stay off the “M” route highways - we’ve received many messages regarding sleds on 41 and 26 around South Range, Quincy Hill and Phoenix.
Thanks, The KSC Board of Directors

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> Things went well last night other than a mechanical issue in South Range caused the team to turn around and head back to base up north. We have a groomer headed down now to groom from South Range to Toivola. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience. A great shot of one of our electric chainsaws purchased with a grant from KORC - Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition, thanks again - the team has enjoyed them! The copper country is amazing!
