MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 01/24
East of 41 is getting pretty good. West of 41 is still very thin. You can ride it, but I hope you don’t have new carbides on your sled. Might need new ones after. These pics were taken just east of US 41. Snow gets better as we go east. Trail is setting up good tonight. Should be a nice weekend of riding with decent temps. I don’t see us grooming past 41 any time soon, it’s just to thin. We will keep nightly grooming runs from Rumely to 417. We will see what the weather brings in tue next week. Ride right, have fun, and be safe out there.
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Through this evening: A line of heavy snow showers marches south across the UP along a cold front. Hazards: A quick hitting 1-2” of snow is expected along this front. Gusty winds will create very low visibility in the heaviest showers. Roads will quickly become snow covered, and falling temperatures behind the front will also create slippery road conditions where melting snow occurred today. #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaThrough this evening: A line of heavy snow showers marches south across the UP along a cold front.
