Greetings, well here we go for another year of hopefully great sledding. I have heard two conflicting weather reports, one of a warm winter and one of a harsh cold winter. I choose to believe the later of course. Trails are open in our area, however there is no base and a little early to be hitting the trails… Rentals will not be open for a couple of weeks depending on temps..cheers Brett

Potential exists for a significant winter storm to impact Northern Michigan later Tuesday night into Wednesday!

Trails are open! There is about 4 inches of new snow on the ground and snow is in the forecast for the next few days. Grooming will start when we receive 8-10 inches of snow.

Snow fall for the Gaylord Area was "184.1” of snow for the 2008-2009 snow season. Snowfall for the Gaylord Area in a normal season is "148.2" inches.
